Amber
Gold and Platinumsmith
She loves a design challenge and is excellent at finding the details that are important to both parties in the creation of custom work. She specializes in taking meaningful elements of a couple’s life together and tastefully incorporating them into the piece. Whether it is a favorite church in Italy or a flower from a meaningful vacation shared, she takes the fine details and makes the design specific to that individual couple.
Amber graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle with a focus in industrial design, yet discovered a true passion for designing and fabricating jewelry specifically. With her first jewelry class, she just knew her future was in the industry. After a long search, Amber found a home at Green Lake where she was hired primarily as a designer for the sales floor, working on rough sketches and the conceptual stages of custom jewelry. But it wasn’t long before she was getting her hands dirty at the jeweler’s bench, where she's now a talented gold and platinumsmith, taking rings from concept to completion.
After years of working and training within Green Lake, her specialty on the bench has become focused on intricate filigree work and sculptural pieces that draw on a broad range of architectural inspiration from Gothic cathedrals to the organic, whimsical nature of Gaudi’s work.
